Located within the artistic-historic complex of Teguise, (Lanzarotes former capital and current cultural centre of the island) this charming, late nineteenth century courtyard-house, has been thoughtfully renovated preserving its original architectural features, combining tradition and modernity. The thick volcanic walls, terracotta floors and timber ceilings create a backdrop whereby natural light, colors, textures and works of art form a series of unique spaces. Whilst the house is a short walk from many local amenities, its strategic location at the centre of the island means that all of Lanzarotes main attractions are never far away.

This U-shaped house consists of several volumes on split levels that are connected via the beautiful canarian courtyard: the true heart of the home. It is a luminous, yet private space sheltered from the wind, with an outdoor dining area from where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets with spectacular views of the surrounding volcanoes and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

The house has two large living spaces with different characteristics. The first one, ideal for the warmest months, is located at the entrance of the house and is adjacent to the fully equipped canarian kitchen (with all home appliances) and consists of a dining room and a large cosy seating area. The high ceilings, the integrated furniture and its characteristic diamond-shaped window create an inspiring and comfortable environment. The second living room, faces south and boasts large glass sliding doors, allowing the space to be opened up and connected to terrace in summer, or as a sun-bathed, indoor lounge during the winter. There is also an antique iron stove, which can be used for additional heating when needed.

The home is perfect for relaxing on holiday, but also functions as a workspace. There is a desk, power outlets, internet and a television connected to the WiFi, with on-demand apps such as Netflix. The house has two perfectly equipped bathrooms, which have been recently renovated in line with the aesthetics of César Manrique: white sinuous walls, with integrated fittings and day-lit from above. The three bedrooms (ultramar, hierba and marte) have been decorated using the characteristic colors of the island: the blue of the sea, the green of the cacti and the orange of the lava. Each room has its own art pieces, blackout curtains and individual radiators for maximum comfort.
