    Zum Erkunden der Insel - sehr gut (zentral) und ruhig gelegen. Schöner gepflegter Garten mit Grill-Station. Gut ausgerüstet von der Küche Kühlschrank/Tiefkühler übers Bad (Föhn) zu Schlafzimmer mit mehr als genügend Wandschränken. Einziger kleiner Wermutstropen - ich habe nirgends die zur vorhandenen Kaffeemaschine passenden Kaffeekapseln gefunden (diverse Supermärkte). Aber mit Filterkaffee oder Espresso à l'Italienne - ist das auch gegangen. Für Restaurants in Meer-Nähe - ist LA SANTA mit dem Auto rasch zu erreichen. Lanzarote - eine Insel mit grossartigen Landschaften, schöne Dörfer und mit Arrecife auch eine interessante Stadt. Es gibt viel zu entdecken.

    Ruim huis om met twee gasten te verblijven. Om met vier gasten te verblijven is het keukenmateriaal aan de krappe kant. Voor de rest is dit een heel verzorgd, aangenaam huis. Wij zijn gewend om opgevangen te worden door booking via homeaway. Dit aspect hebben wij hier een beetje gemist. DE wificode zijn wij te weten gekomen via het lezen van de recensies . Er is geen map aanwezig met praktische informatie. De ligging van het huis is ideaal om alle uithoeken van het eiland vlot te bereiken. In ons ogen is dit adres een aanrader!

    A well equippped casa with a nearby sociadad for drinks, two restaurants within walking distance. Great BBQ and lovely sun beds. Big rooms and lovely walks nearby. Fantastic shower - just need to take care as it is a bit slippery. Would recommend others to stay.

    Positive: L’abitazione è confortevole, bene arredata e bene equipaggiata. Il giardino di piante grasse è piacevole e curato. Negative: La posizione è molto comoda per visitare l’isola, il paese tranquillo è però privo di negozi o bar. Le distanze sono brevi ma è indispensabile avere un’auto.

    Espacio diáfano, limpio, ordenado. Tiene todo equipado por una estancia cómoda. Calma asegurada, ya que la casa está ubicada en una zona muy tranquila. Además, un equipo top en la agencia de alquileres pendiente de cualquier duda que tengas. Recomiendo esta casa.

  10. Didn't happen due to booking or communication problems...

    Positive: It was sunny. Negative: I wasn't going to write anything but Booking.com keeps hassling me for a review so I guess here it is. Checked out of my hotel in the morning as this home was a last minute decision to stay on the island another week. Waited around all day so I could meet the check in times for this location and when I arrived and found the place there was no key in the lock box. It was a Sunday and had no idea what to do, but fortunately I was able to call the agent who picked up. She was great but in essence the booking hadn't been recognised by the owner, or something to that effect, so the home had not been cleaned or prepared for my stay. I was asked if I could wait 3 hours for the owner to come out and do what was needed but after wasting hours with all my belongings in the car (so difficult to just park somewhere and leave it all especially knowing how disinterested local police are in doing any actual crime work) had to leave and find a hotel last minute. Not great at all and the house is a little tricky to identify as the pictures on here do not relate to the walled in nature of how the house looks on the outside, they could do with a few external pictures so you can recognise it when you drive past the third time.

    Todo y que a la casa le falta algo de mantenimiento y pulir el tema de la limpieza, que ya de trató todo más en detalle con auszeit, recomendaríamos el alojamiento. La casa está en la misma carretera, pero aún y así estuvimos tranquilos y nos sentimos a gusto. También la localización es buena para ir a cualquier parte de la isla.

  16. Our stay at Refugio Yuco

    A spacious, well equipped, house in a small village in the centre of Lanzarote. Good secluded garden. Shower floor is dangerously slippery, but could be resolved with an additional non slip mat. No bar or cafe in the village, but 3 good restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Good central location to explore the whole island. But a hire car is essential. We spent 5 happy weeks at Refugio Yuco. Did lots of walking in the volcanic National Park, and sightseeing across the island.

    Das Haus ist exakt wie auf den Fotos, der Garten mittlerweile noch üppiger. Es war sehr sauber, W-Lan läuft, die Betten sind gut. Obwohl an der Straße, ist es sehr ruhig. Der Hahn hat uns nicht gestört. Ist eben auf dem Land. Ausgerutscht sind wir in der großen Dusche auch nicht. Es gibt ausreichend Sitz/Liegeecken draußen. Das Auto steht direkt in einer Parknische am Haus. Es gibt alles, was man braucht. Die Lage ist günstig in alle Richtungen. 10 Min nach Famara, 45 Min nach Orzola oder Papagayo... Gern wieder.

    Very large house with all you need. We were there during a windy week, and heard quite a bit of noise outside due to it. it's very quiet in general, but when it's windy you can hear it well. The rooster didn't disturb us at all. location is good for visiting La Santa and Famara (both good surf spots). Need a car to get to most places. Beautiful view over a vulcano! Everything was clean. Communication quick and easy.

    We stayed here in February and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The garden is private and allows you to soak up sun, eat outside and enjoy you family without disturbing anyone. The house itself was very clean and had everything necessary (towels, utensils, iron etc) to have an enjoyable stay, we used the kitchen area to work and that worked out great as well - the wi-fi was fast and allowed us to hold video calls without any issues. Check in was done using a key box so we got in right as we arrived. Noise from the rooster wasn't an issue for us, nor did we find the shower to be slippery as some previous reviews mentioned. We loved the house and hope to stay here again once we visit Lanzarote, as the island is a marvel ♥️

    La casa está ubicada en un pueblo muy tranquilo. Tiene un jardín muy agradable, es espaciosa y bonita, y la cocina en particular es impresionante. Lógicamente hay que tener un coche, o de lo contrario moverse por la isla es complicado. Pero si se dispone de coche, la mayor parte de los lugares interesantes están a una distancia pequeña (20-30 minutos). Los anfitriones son estupendos. Estuvimos muy a gusto.

    Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le refugio Yuco, la maison est très spacieuse avec de très grand espaces de vie, tous aussi agréables les uns que les autres, la cuisine est absolument immense et ne manque de rien, la salle de bain est magnifique, la chambre est immense, le jardin est très beau et la vue sur un volcan est splendide. La maison est située dans un petit village très calme loin des gros pôle touristiques du sud de l’île, à deux pas du parc national de Timanfaya. Les hôtes sont très gentils, très disponibles et surtout très réactifs en cas de besoins/problèmes. Idéal pour un couple ou famille, si vous cherchez la tranquillité allez y les yeux fermés.

    La maison est très agréable et conforme aux photos. Chaque pièce est vaste. Nous nous sommes très bien plu. L'endroit est calme hormis la vie normale du village mais qui n'est pas dérangeante. La cuisine est plutôt bien équipée et très pratique. Des gestes de bienvenue nous ont accueilli, notamment une excellente bouteille de vin, ainsi que d'autres boissons. Des produits d'entretien courant et des produits de petite épicerie étaient à disposition, ce qui est appréciable. La maison était très propre à notre arrivée. Merci

    This is a great house: lots of room – a huge kitchen, two big bedrooms, a large living room and lots of room outside. It’s perfect for a family of four or two couples. The decoration is individualised although in details it is IKEA. There is plenty of kitchen help such as pots of herbs, pepper, salt etc and a nice bottle of wine supplied. The wifi is also very strong (the password is on the underside of the router which is behind the TV). The place was spotless (the garden, too!) and we had no complaints on that score. It’s a great place to relax. Yuco is in the middle of the island and all places can be easily reached – car hire is very useful. Be careful with the shower when it is wet – it is very easy to slip – I mean really easy to slip. Be very careful… (The washing machine is behind a door in the garden, by the way.) All in all, this is a great place to be on Lanzarote. We would certainly return here the next time we come and we recommend it completely.

    Really tranquil, peaceful space which is perfectly located for exploring the whole island (by car). The terrace is amazing and gets a lot of sun all day, although you can always find spots of shade too. Do note there are only 2 deckchairs. It’s not overlooked by anyone apart from some distant houses on a hill, and you can watch little birds visiting the cacti. What a previous reviewer mentioned about the rooster crowing is true, however it didn’t bother us as we like being in the countryside. Once you are inside it’s harder to hear it. The one thing that did wake us is the bin collection that happens approx 3 times a week, it must have been before 6am as that’s when we get up. However given how great the space is, that wouldn’t stop us from staying here again at all. The beds were comfortable and it was useful having a washing machine too. The village is very quiet but there is a corner shop open 7am-9pm daily a 5 min walk away (or 1 min drive, easy parking). The small supermarket in Tiagua 10 min drive away offers fresh marinated meat and fish for the BBQ.

Une cuisine immense, une bonne literie et un endroit au centre de l'île qui permet des excursions de tous côtés. Voiture bien sûr indispensable. Une adresse recommandable pour 2 couples par exemple ou un couple avec 2 enfants.

    This a great house. I was sold when I saw the garden. It was bigger than I imagined (never seen so much closet space), very clean and the village was very quiet with a great scenery. Except... nobody told us (not mentioned in the ad) there were roosters next door, which "sang" for us all day, every day and a few times at night. I know they're common in the countryside, but city folks like me are not used to that and it was an EXTREME source of irritation! I booked this secluded house to recover from an illness so I was NOT AMUSED. And then, something much worse happened. The bathroom has marble floor and walls, and the shower drains into what looks like a big rectangular sink, which is on a slope towards the drain. It all looks great. However, this gets extremely slippery when wet; when you add soap and shampoo it's as dangerous as walking on ice. I slipped and fell on my side directly on one of the thick edges of the shower floor. I COULD EASILY HAVE BROKEN MY RIBS, which is ridiculous!!... It hurt like hell but I've been lucky. I URGE the owner (who says "he never received such a complaint" same with the roosters) to fix this IMMEDIATELY, otherwise the next shower user might break something or worse!! I was so disgusted with this danger that I left the house within the hour. It ruined the dream...

    One of the most quiet places we've ever found, and not even in the middle of nowhere. The house is gorgeous, spotless clean with a beautiful garden. The kitchen has everything you could wish for when you're into cooking. Yuco (La Vegueta) is in our heart and we'll be back. If you're looking for a very silent retraite, this is the place to be.

    Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir können die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen und auch selber wieder buchen. Kleine Maßnahmen würden zu einer sehr guten Beurteilung führen: die Türen und Schlösser müssten eingestellt und gewartet werden Das Licht in der Küche müsste repariert oder perfektioniert werden Im Bad wären mehr Haken hilfreich In der Küche könnte es mehr Besteck und Geschirr geben.

    Das Haus in La Vegueta gefiel uns sehr gut: schöne großzügige Räume, eine große recht gut eingerichtete Küche, eine gediegene spanische Möblierung, ein Wind geschützter Garten mit hübscher Pflanzung, Ein gut funktionierendes Internet. Freilich lies die Betreuung durch die Agentur zu wünschen übrig: eine Mail mit Mängeln: fehlende oder defekte Beleuchtung, Fernseher ausschließlich mit spanischem Programm über Antenne (die Schüssel war defekt), defekte Herdplatte - ist angeblich nicht angekommen. Eine gleich lautende SMS ebenfalls nicht. Erst bei einem Totalausfall der Elektrizität wurden wir telefonisch angeleitet, so dass wir im Selbsthilfeverfahren die Hauptsicherung außerhalb des Hauses finden konnten. Dennoch würden wir das Haus wieder mieten, weil wir inzwischen die Haustechnik beherrschen.

The wifi is also very strong (the password is on the underside of the router which is behind the TV). The place was spotless (the garden, too!) and we had no complaints on that score. It’s a great place to relax. Yuco is in the middle of the island and all places can be easily reached – car hire is very useful. Be careful with the shower when it is wet – it is very easy to slip – I mean really easy to slip. Be very careful… The place needs a ‘’book’’ with all the information in – perhaps the managers will supply it. All in all, this is a great place to be on Lanzarote. We would certainly return here the next time we come and we recommend it completely. Stuart Idell

  54. Lovely casa with a pretty garden in a friendly village

    The rooms are spacious, several seating areas to enjoy the view and the garden. Fantastic shower - just take care as it is quite slippy. There is a sociadad within 10 min walk for drinks, food only on a Sunday. There are two restaurants in neighbouring villages, walkable in 20 mins along quiet back roads. There is a local supermarket with fresh bread. Would recommend this Refugio to others and would be happy to stay again.

  55. Refugio Yuco La Vegueta

    Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll und sehr praktisch eingerichtet, der Garten sehr liebevoll gestaltet., mit sehr schönen Gartenmöbeln. Der Standort ist prima, um die Insel zu erkunden und -wie von uns gewünscht!- schön "untouristisch". Also eigentlich alles perfekt. Wir hatten jedoch 14 Tage extremes Wetter: sehr starken Sturm, viel Regen, auch mal Hagel, wenig Sonnenstunden, wahrscheinlich ein "Jahrhundertwetter". Dafür war die Unterkunft nicht ausgestattet, und daher eher ungemütlich, da es nicht möglich war, die Räume auf eine akzeptable Temperatur zu bringen. Sehr positiv waren unsere Erfahrungen mit dem Auszeit-Lanzarote-Team: Immer erreichbar und immer lösungsorientiert, selbst ein Stromausfalls abends um 21:00 Uhr (Stromvertrag nicht auf 2 Heizgeräte + kochen gleichzeitig ausgelegt) wurde wirklich schnell behoben. Wir gehen davon aus, dass das grundsätzliche Stromproblem nun auch behoben wird. Dann steht einem erneuten Aufenthalt in Refugio Yuco nichts entgegen :-)
